CR107 - Pasir Ris East update Q3 2023

17 September 2023 - An aerial view of the station work site from the eastern end.

So we're commencing our Q3 updates slightly early with Pasir Ris East up first. Over at the eastern end of the station, works are focused on constructing the diaphragm walls for the launch shaft where tunnel boring machines (TBMs) will be lowered by neighbouring contractor Woh Hup for contract CR106. The TBMs will bore the twin tunnels eastwards, to Loyang station. As such, the launch shaft will be completed under CR107 but subsequently handed over for tunneling works. Upon the completion of tunneling works and first stage concreting, the shaft may be handed back to CR107's contractor, Singapore Engineering & Construction - Sinohydro Corporation Limited joint venture, to complete the remainder of the works.

P103 - New video for Riviera

Source: LTA

Today, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) released a new video showing a flythrough of Riviera station. Featuring 4 exits, Riviera station will allow tap out-transfers between the Punggol LRT East Loop and the Cross Island Line (CRL) Punggol Extension (CPE). It is interesting to note that the station will feature an upper concourse (B1), lower concourse (B2) and platform (B3) all within the paid area. The station will also feature side platforms as a result of the utilisation of a single large bored tunnel for the line from Elias to Punggol stations.

This post is only available on the CRL Construction Blog & will not be cross-posted to Instagram.
