CR111 - Defu road diversion

 

20 September 2023 - A map depicting the changes to the road layout.

Tomorrow, contractor for Defu station will be carrying out further road diversion works along Tampines Road where the station is located. Both carriageways will be diverted further south, with the westbound carriageway utilising a new bridge built over the existing canal. The eastbound carriageway will make use of the existing bridge being used for the current westbound carriageway.

A circular by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) states that the works will roughly take 2 days to complete over the weekend. Preparation works have been underway for some time with the replacement bus stops visible along with other roadway infrastructure & furniture.

roadway diversion in the vicinity of the junction with Defu Avenue 2.

The upcoming road diversions will bring Defu station a step closer to becoming a reality. We look forward to seeing the diversion take place and will provide further updates on its progress in due time.
