Pre-construction - Hougang

30 April 2019 - An aerial view of Hougang Central with the Northeast Line station exits A, B and C
visible. Exit C is the exit in the midground, located in the empty field which will transform
into a mixed used development in the future. An integrated transport hub will likely be housed here.

With contract CR112 being the first of the station construction contracts to be awarded by the Land Transport Authority, work on site is expected to begin ramping up soon. We take a look into how the area looks before the first soil is turned to make way for the future transport link at Hougang central.

30 April 2019 - Another aerial view, looking slightly further west. The Cross Island Line station will
sit underneath the roadway linking Hougang Central to Hougang Avenue 10.

30 April 2019 - An aerial view of the field which will become a future mixed used development.

30 April 2019 - A view from the multi-story carpark along Hougang Central. The CRL station will
be located underneath this green patch with a new exit co-located at the existing Exit A.

  1. During one of my recent visit to the site of the Hougang CRL Station, I saw same excavators stationed on site with hoardings erected.

Could be a sign that construction is almost starting.
