Maju pre-construction 2022

Maju station will be located along Clementi Road, near the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) & Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) HQ. Originally planned to be located along the road side table and within the Clementi Forest, subsequent environmental surveys and local's awareness of the existence of the natural landscape lead to the adoption of an alternative station site and work areas located underneath Clementi Road itself.

Due to its unique location, the station has to balance between environmental protection and network coverage needs. Students at the three tertiary institutions located here (Ngee Ann Polytechnic, SUSS & SIM) will recall the heavy traffic during peak hours along the stretch of road along the educational institutes. Clementi Road was even widened to four lanes in each direction to allow for traffic to flow smoother and avoid traffic jams.
