A compilation of diagrams detailing upcoming road diversions, temporary road closures & changes to the road networks over the weekend of 16 & 17 November near 3 CRL work sites. |
The weekend of 16 & 17 November will be a busy one for the Cross Island Line (CRL) with various traffic diversions, temporary road closures & changes to road schemes taking place across three different projects over 2 phases of the line. The works in particular will affect residents in Pasir Ris at the site of contract CR108, in Ang Mo Kio near site CR115 at Tavistock station and at King Albert Park at the site of CR205.
Contract CR205 temporary road closure - Blackmore Drive [King Albert Park station]
With works at King Albert Park kicking off and the commencement of the school holidays, a section of Blackmore Drive will temporarily be closed off to facilitate works to construct a diverted section of the roadway. This closure is due to stretch from 16 November to 22 December 2024. During the closure, access to the Methodist Girls' School (MGS) will only be available via Old Holland Road while traffic along Blackmore Drive will be for access to Casa Esperanza condominium.

Contract CR115 road system reconfiguration - Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 [Tavistock station]
Roadworks in the vicinity of the contract had commenced some time back ahead of the conversion of the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2 into a designalised junction that only allows left turns into & out of the industrial park. This change is due to be effected by 17 November 2024.
The junction between Ang Mo Kio Avenues 3 and 12 would instead become a signalised junction allowing vehicles turning right onto Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 in the direction of Ang Mo Kio & the Central Expressway to exit the industrial park. As a result of the road network changes, the route of bus service 268 was amended to call at a relocated bus stop within the industrial park from 10 November 2024.

Contract CR108 road diversion - Pasir Ris Drive 1 [Pasir Ris station]
As works ramp up on the construction of the station and western cut & cover tunnel diaphragm walls, Pasir Ris Drive 1 will be diverted onto a new layout further north, allowing works along the station's southern side to commence. These diversions between the junction with Pasir Ris Drive 8 and Pasir Ris Central/Street 51 will take place on 17 November.
