Recently if you've travelled along Clementi Road, especially around the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) / Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) stretch, you may have noticed green hoarding along the boundary of the road. Ever wondered what the hoarding is for? Could it be that works for the Cross Island Line (CRL) phase 2 are already beginning? Find out more after the jump.

CR107 - Pasir Ris East Q1 2023 update

30 March 2023

Our last update for Pasir Ris East station under contract CR107 was at the end of 2022. We made a visit right at the end of Q1 2023 and are ready to present to you an update of the site. Since the road closure of a stretch of Pasir Ris Drive 1 between Pasir Ris Drives 2 and 4, work has taken over the former roadway.

Various activities are taking place along the entire stretch with the arrival of hydrofraise frames and a clam shell grabber machine to facilitate diaphragm wall works. There do not appear to be betonite slurry silos or a treatment plant on site yet, hence it is unlikely that these works will begin so soon.

Meanwhile, works for the base of the eventual 10 to 12 metre tall noise barriers can be seen. Concrete bases have been built at various locales, but the installation of the barrier has yet to begin. Photos available after the jump.

CRL1 - New videos

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) today uploaded a new video showing a flythrough of the upcoming Bright Hill station, the western terminus for the Cross Island Line (CRL) phase 1 which is due to open in 2030. An interchange station with the existing Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), provisions were made during the former's construction to allow paid linkways to connect to the future station and also for the future line's tunnels to cross over the existing station structure. We've extracted several screenshots from the flythrough video after the jump for your browsing pleasure. Additionally, we have also collated some other videos that LTA has posted up since our last update in March. All are available after the jump.
