CR108 - Checking in at Pasir Ris

An aerial view of the existing Pasir Ris station with
the Pasir Ris Central worksite.

It's been a few months since we last came by here. Things are definitely ramping up with so much going on at the site. Machines coming in, set up work going on, reconfiguration works and exit & road closures are all in full effect. The construction site can be broken into about 3 smaller zones - along Pasir Ris Drive 8, Pasir Ris Central & Pasir Ris Street 51.

Pasir Ris Drive 8 site (Blue area on the map)
At the site along Pasir Ris Drive 8, a crawler crane is on site along with additional equipment which appears to be desanders. These may require further set up whilst the betonite silos are already deployed here.

Meanwhile at this site, there are crawler cranes, desander and hydrofraise machines on site. The crawler crane is fully functional while the desander and hydrofraise machines require further assembly. Both will be used in the construction of diaphragm walls for the underground station perimeter walls.

near the crawler crane for further assembly & set up.
19 August 2022 - Pieces of a hydrofraise machine sit at the site awaiting further assembly.

Existing MRT station
At the existing East-West Line station, temporary protective enclosures have been set up along the viaducts of both east and west bound tracks. Works are on-going to weld steel beams to form a structure within the enclosed space, likely to facilitate the construction of the future platform to basement 2 paid transfer of the station.

Pasir Ris Street 51 site (Red area on the map)
Similar to the Pasir Ris Central site, parts of a hydrofraise machine sit at the site. Further assembly will be required before the machine will be excavate the diaphragm walls for the station.
