Elias station is the sole remaining station along the Cross Island Line Punggol Extension (CPE) whose contract that has yet to be awarded. We should be able to look forward to the tender award some time this year with construction set to begin within the year as well. The station will be sited on a greenfield site bordered by Pasir Ris Drives 3 & 10 and will feature a station box with a launch and retrieval shaft on either end of the station.
Currently, the area is relatively untouched with fantastic unblocked views of the nearby seaside available to residents across Pasir Ris Drive 3. This remains to be seen once the station opens and further development takes place as the site is zoned for residential use in the 2019 masterplan. Meanwhile, preparatory works are underway with the advanced utility diversion works taking place along Pasir Ris Drive 3. Some lanes were closed to facilitate the works such as laying of water pipes.
