It's been a whirlwind first quarter of the year. We take the opportunity to check in on the progress of the various construction sites along the Cross Island Line (CRL)'s various phases in the month of March and provide a glimpse at the progress being made. CR4 - Pasir Ris East (Contract CR107)
In a nutshell: Excavation for a portion of the station box has commenced on the eastern end. This will connect the station with a ventilation shaft.

CR5 | CP1 - Pasir Ris (Contract CR108)
In a nutshell: The construction site was recently re-configured so that diaphragm wall works near block 570 & 571 can proceed to the next stage of construction. Elsewhere, works on the earth retaining & stabilising system (ERSS) continues.

CR7 - Defu (Contract CR111)
In a nutshell: The western end of the station has commenced on construction of the diaphragm wall capping beam.

CR8 - Hougang (Contract CR112)
In a nutshell: Excavation has begun for more portions of the station box, including the paid transfer linkway. Waterproofing tests were conducted at Exit 6's subway.

CR9 - Serangoon North (Contract CR113)
In a nutshell: Diaphragm wall works appear to be completed at Exits 1 and 2, with the machines being redeployed to other locations within the site.

CR10 - Tavistock (Contract CR115)
In a nutshell: Diaphragm wall works have been completed for Exit 4 but are continuing along the southern edge of the station. Gantry cranes have been installed at the launch shaft site.

CR11 - Ang Mo Kio (Contract CR116)
In a nutshell: Diaphragm wall work continues at the various station exits.

CR12 - Teck Ghee (Contract N109A)
In a nutshell: The western half of the station is being worked on and the expressway tunnel roof slab is being backfilled. Work will continue beneath the roof slab while ERSS works commence for the eastern half of the station.

CR13 - Bright Hill (Contract CR117)
In a nutshell: The most progress is seen at the eastern end of the station where the launch shaft is beginning to take place. Over at the western end, a road diversion has been implemented.

CP2 - Elias (Contract P102)
In a nutshell: Work continues with site clearing. At the eastern edge of the site, noise barriers are being installed while construction has commenced for the site office at the western end.

In a nutshell: Diaphragm wall construction has begun at the cut & cover tunnel section to the west of the station.

CR14 - Turf City (Contract CR203)
In a nutshell: The contract for the construction of the station & tunnels to King Albert Park has not been awarded. Nonetheless, the state has taken possession of the Turf City & Grandstand sites.

In a nutshell: Preparatory works are underway, including the construction of the site offices near the existing Downtown Line station's ventilation shaft.
