Contract CR203 for the construction of Turf City station was one of the last to be awarded for the second phase of the Cross Island Line (CRL). Since the contract's award in May 2024, contractor Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co (STEC) has since uploaded some images of the station onto its website, including new renders of the station's exterior & interior.

The new renders by STEC show the station's exterior as well as the interior's concourse and platform levels. It appears that the station has a symmetrical design, with the escalators located on the outer-most ends, with staircases and lifts towards the middle.
