The Straits Times recently published a short video explaining the behind the scenes work by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in the engineering planning works behind the section of the Cross Island Line (CRL) alignment interacting with nature aspects. Work sites were moved several times and other measures were taken by LTA to ensure as minimal impact as possible is done to the surrounding reserves and habitats. Not covered in the video, is also the shifting of Maju station away from the forested areas to preserve the natural environment and reduce the impact of construction.
