CR103 - Aviation Park 2022 year-end update

27 December 2022 - An overview of the station site at the corner of Aviation Park Road.

Aviation Park is one of the stations where it is more difficult to decipher what construction activities are taking place. Nonetheless, we paid the station a visit and used the best possible vantage point to try grab some pictures - a double decker bus. Owing to the site's proximity to the airport, no tall buildings exist in the vicinity from which one would be able to view the site.

A plethora of machines stand on site, presumably preparing the site for upcoming earth retaining & stabilising structure construction. Approximately 1 hydrofraise machine & 3 clamshell grabbers are on site to begin these works in the days to come.

2023 should see the commencement of the retaining wall construction with excavation to follow. Apart from that, there is scant information to tell what other progress can be expected in the coming year. With our 2022 wrap up of various rail construction sites almost at an end, but not quite yet (expect about another week of posts), we'd like to thank all our readers for your support & interest through the year, even as we launched our Instagram-channel counterpart. We hope 2022 has treated you well and wish you all a happy 2023 ahead! May the new year shine brightly on you.
